After graduating, I started my career as a freelance UX designer, initially collaborating with tech startups spun off from TU Delft and TNO. I also worked with several digital agencies, which gave me the opportunity to contribute to projects for both medium-sized businesses and large corporations.

During my 3.5 years as a freelancer, I gained insight into a wide range of approaches to digital product development and design cultures or, in some cases, the absence of one. This experience taught me that I thrive in an in-house team environment, where I can collaborate closely with colleagues to shape a product's long-term vision. I find great value in building deep domain expertise and contributing to sustained product improvement over time.

After an exciting and rewarding chapter as a freelancer, I joined Picnic in 2016 to fully embrace this approach and focus on creating meaningful impact as part of a dedicated team.
