Nutty Passion Project

Zeemansboter organic peanutbutter | 2013 - 2021

I co-created Zeemansboter, an organic peanut butter brand inspired by the ocean-crossing journey of peanuts. To give back to the people at sea, we donated a portion of our sales to the KNRM, a Dutch charity dedicated to saving lives at sea.

The idea began in 2013 with a group of friends who shared a deep appreciation for peanut butter and noticed a lack of high-quality organic options. My role included designing the packaging and personally delivering orders in and around Rotterdam.

For nearly eight years, Zeemansboter was a rewarding side project alongside my full-time career. However, by 2021, balancing the business with a demanding job and family life became unsustainable, leading me to close this chapter. It remains a cherished adventure.
